About Me
For the last six years, I’ve used evidence-based journalism to empower readers to make smarter choices about their health and well-being, reporting on a wide range of topics, from mental health and nutrition to chronic illness and infectious disease. I've worked and freelanced for over a dozen media outlets with vastly different audiences, which has given me the ability to quickly adapt my writing style from one assignment to the next.

I can work independently with minimal oversight, but I also strive in team settings; I value honest and effective communication; and I'm always willing to switch gears when necessary to meet specific short- or long-term goals.

I also apply my writing and research skills to help people with their cover letters, medical school and residency application personal statements, grant and scholarship applications, and other high school or college essays.

When I'm not debunking the latest social media health trend or writing in-depth explainers on complex medical conditions, you can find me baking yummy desserts, teaching dance classes, or tending to my 16-year-old Maltese, Lily.
